At VisionDevbhoomi, initiatives are not planned as large-scale campaigns. They begin as small, practical actions rooted in local needs and carried forward with community participation.
Community Plantation Drive
Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand · Local community participation
One of our first initiatives was a plantation drive conducted with the active involvement of the local community. The objective was simple: to contribute positively to the local environment while strengthening awareness about the importance of native vegetation and ecological balance.
The plantation activity focused on:
- Encouraging participation from local residents
- Planting suitable species adapted to the local terrain and climate
- Promoting long-term responsibility for nurturing the saplings
Rather than treating plantation as a one-day event, the emphasis was placed on collective ownership and care. Community members played a key role not only in planting but also in identifying suitable locations and understanding the value of sustained environmental stewardship.
This initiative reaffirmed a core belief of VisionDevbhoomi — meaningful environmental action is most effective when it grows from within the community itself.

Looking Ahead
The plantation drive marks an initial step in a longer journey. Future initiatives will continue to focus on small, thoughtful actions that align environmental responsibility with local knowledge, participation, and long-term impact.
